  • Began working in a private school
  • In 1984 Apple computers were just becoming mainstream and he was very interested in computers
  • Started teaching students about computers in a computer lab
  • Has been doing multifamily investing since 2007
  • Actually started investing in single family homes in 2005 but Jeff was unhappy with the volatility of the product and the market
  • Was still working his day job until his boss offered him a promotion and wanted him to head a new project
  • Realized that he was too focused on real estate to even consider moving up in his day job
  • He gave his 60 day notice, the day his boss tried to promote him
  • He ended up helping his boss with some real estate things he had been working on. Jeff also still maintains a good relationship with everyone he used to work with
  • Bought his first multifamily syndication in 2010
  • Has since moved from from multifamily to also including student housing
