I’ve Got To Say Something About Tom Vilsack

February 23, 2007   |    ayb   by ayb   |    comments   3 Comments

I just read in the news that Tom Vilsack has dropped out of the race for President of the United States (POTUS). He said that he is dropping out because he cannot raise enough money.

How sad is it that every child is taught in school that they can be anything they want to be – including President of the United States – but that a former Presidential candidate has dropped out more than a year and a half before the election because he will not have enough money?

It is not even the year of the election – in fact, this year has barely just begun. So for someone to bail out of next year’s election just blows my mind.

Our country might say it is the world’s greatest democracy, but if any of you out there don’t see how money buys power you are truly blind.

The founding fathers should be rolling in their graves right now.

Hillary has raised $60M or so. Plus or minus.

I still think after Hillary and Obama shoot themselves in the foot, a underdog will step up to be the democrat nominee

Politics is all about how popular you are. Popular candidates tend to raise more money.
