I can’t talk about this too much.
But I would just like to say that I now actually understand how the stock market works.
The guys on CNN don’t explain this. They make it seem like stock prices are some mystical thing, like you should be rubbing a bottle a certain way to affect a stock price. It is all crazy talk!
What really happens is somebody wants the stock. They want it bad. And so they stick their hands up in the air, waving around like crazy, offering any price someone will take to let them have the shares.
They want the shares because they think they are worth more than the asking price. And so, sometimes, they’re willing to pay just a little bit more. Just for the shares, with a growth “premium”. This is why growth stocks sell at such high P/E ratios.
This effect is usually caused by mutual funds. And is the practical application of Buffett’s Mr. Market concept.
And it really holds true.
How do I know? Because, today, I helped bid a stock price up 10%.
I didn’t mean to. Trust me, I didn’t. I didn’t want to pay more for those shares. Every tiny bit counts. If I had enough cash, I would just buy the whole damn company.
Perhaps in the future.
I can’t say much more. But when I look at it, my purchases took up a substantial amount of trading volume. In fact, the volume on this particular stock, right now, is about three or four times higher than what it normally would be.
You know why?
Because I am responsible for buying over 30% of the shares that traded hands from this particular company. Today.
That’s right. It is like I was sitting on a street corner, and I just kept offering money.
Except it was “high finance”.
We’ll see how it goes. I’m up 10% today. This should be exciting.
I’m hoping to buy more shares tomorrow.
Before anyone asks about the stock, all I can say is that some of the clues lie on the site. To the best of my knowledge, I have never mentioned this particular stock before on any of my posts.
But the pieces are there for you to take. See what you can put together.

Looks like someone has discovered the OTC-BB/Pink stocks! Don’t get too caught up in it, you can easily get burned.
I’ve been there done that!

Appreciate the advice, Nev. But I can’t guarantee I won’t get too caught up in it.

you may be up until you try to offload your position. then you’re like all those foreign countries that hold US dollars. as soon as they announce they’re going to sell their USD, it drops like a brick!!!!
good luck!
