Wired News reports that some crafty traders have built automated systems to trade stocks and futures.
This is much like the poker playing robots I mentioned a few weeks ago (read). Both take the investor’s brain out of the equation, unless they are the one that developed the algorithm.
I suspect many people will be searching for the program without first figuring out how it should work. This is a very personal decision, mind you, and it all boils down to the idea of who you trust.
Perhaps I’ll set up my own version someday.
