Senate Considers Gas Tax Holiday

With gas prices on the verge of spiralling out of control, CNSNews reports that senate democrats are considering a 60 day gas tax break. If approved, it will remove the 18.4 cent-per-gallon federal gasoline excise tax.
But will that be enough?

Ameritrade iZone: Now With Trailing Stops

I noticed a new login screen over at Ameritrade iZone yesterday. The price is still $5 per trade, but they now also offer trailing stops.
Ameritrade recently merged with TD, so I’m not sure if more changes are planned for the site.

Bill Swanson’s CEO Handbook: An Update

A few months back, I noted a Business 2.0 article about Raytheon CEO Bill Swanson’s “Swanson’s Unwritten Rules of Management”.

Donald Trump To Write Investing Book

The Book Standard reports that Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki will be self-publishing a book about investing.
There is some speculation that Trump is eschewing a major publishing house because Kiyosaki’s current publishing agreement is with Warner Books. Trump is currently involved in a lawsuit with Warner Books over the 2005 book TrumpNation.

11% More Millionaires In 2005

CNN notes that households with net worth exceeding $1 million jumped to 8.3 million last year, increasing 11% for the year.
It is interesting to note that the number of households worth more than $5 million also jumped - by 26%.

Senator To Investigate High Gas Prices

CNN reports that Senator Schumer of New York is calling for a federal investigation to determine whether or not “big oil” is behind a fuel pricing conspiracy.
